ABSTRACT

Se presenta el caso clínico de una paciente del sexo femenino con antecedentes de transplante cardíaco por miocardiopatía dilatada y de miomatosis uterina sintomática. Fue sometida a embolización percutánea de arterias uterinas. Se describen los detalles de la enfermedad en general, y del caso en particular, en relación con la técnica, sus indicaciones y sus ventajas, así como su evolución inmediata y alejada.


The clinical case of a 52 year old female with a history of cardiac transplant because of dilated cardiomyopathy and symptomatic uterine leiomyoma is presented. A uterine arteries embolization was performed. The general details of the disease and of this particular case, the technical aspects related to the method, its indications and advantages and also immediate and late follow-up are described.
